Organic Growers of Fairlie
Organic Growers of Fairlie is a sustainable garden at the heart of the community, with 170 members who grow vegetables and fruit in three polytunnels and 181 raised beds. There are also wild areas, a woodland, plus a community eco-play edible area as part of the garden. The group is part of the Green Health Network, working with local schools with a Rural Skills/Gardening Course and the John Muir Award, and encouraging outdoor activities for health. It holds library children's gardening workshops and is involved in Cycling Without Age.
In 2018, Organic Growers of Fairlie was awarded a Certificate of Distinction to further recognise the groups' achievements.
