Midlothian Community Hospital Garden
Midlothian Community Hospital Gardens offer opportunities for people to grow food, socialise and become more active. The project is a partnership between NHS Lothian and Cyrenians. The focus is on welcoming people experiencing mental or physical health problems, disadvantage, isolation or poverty. The gardens aid recovery through therapeutic activities. Regular events, courses, workshops and volunteer days enable people to:
- Grow food
- Learn new skills
- Learn about the environment
- Take part in team building activities
- Keep fit and healthy
- Spend time outdoors.
The gardens are open three days a week and anyone can volunteer on a drop-in basis.
