A group of volunteers who work with Dundee City Council in the City Centre providing attractive planting to encourage insects and improve the well-being of both locals and tourists. The group is open to all, including those with mental health issues, addiction and loneliness, providing equipment and gardening tips as they go. It has two large gardening sites and over 52 large planters, and plants seasonal displays growing from seed and plug plants nurtured in the group’s polytunnel. The group funds itself from contributions from local shops, businesses and grant applications. This year it hopes to address climate change by involving the general public in some of its projects.
In 2019, Bonnie Dundee Group was awarded a Certificate of Distinction to further recognise the groups' achievements.
