Strachur Memorial Hall

2018 Certificate
Level 4 - Thriving
The centenary of the end of WW1 was in November 2018 and Strachur Community Council was presented with a carved memorial plaque. The community want to reinstate the village hall garden, renaming it 'The Memorial Garden' and have the plaque fixed onto the gable end of the building, overlooking the garden. The group wants to make the garden in memory of those men and women who died during the war. A place of tranquillity where anyone, no matter what age, can enjoy flowers, insects and quietness as well as taking part in some physical work.
