Certificate of Distinction

Queen St Community Garden at the centre of Broughty Ferry, is brightening lives as people pass by. The group ran a Scarecrow Trail and, new this year, are developing a Christmas Tree Trail. The garden contains artwork created by Grove pupils. Each piece corresponds to a wildflower or place in the garden. The group’s newest project is to create an app/game that encourages people to look closely at wildflowers in the garden and around the Ferry. The group is currently taking part in the ‘Ribbon of Poppies’ to mark the WW1 anniversary. It will run a culture/scarecrow trail to include references to local suffragettes to mark #votes for women.

In 2018, Queen Street Community Garden was awarded a Certificate of Distinction to further recognise the groups' achievements.
