Hope Community Garden aims to educate the residents of Cumbernauld on how to grow their own vegetables and salad. Growing a range of edibles from cabbage, turnips, courgettes, onion, potatoes, leeks, and garlic, through to herbs such as chives, parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme and lemon balm. The group hosts Easter parties and coffee mornings, and holds garden courses with the elderly. The group involves a wide range of volunteers including those facing mental health issues, and has achieved a Sensory Garden Award from Dobbies Garden Centre.

In 2018, Hope Community Garden Project was awarded a Certificate of Distinction to further recognise the groups' achievements.
