Garthdee Field Allotments Association
Garthdee Field Allotments has 110 allotments and a Community Garden, comprising an orchard, herbaceous borders, a wild flower area, toilet facilities, communal compost bins, a polytunnel and internal paths. The group is pleased to host plots for the MacMillan Cancer Charity, RGU Student Association, Kaimhill Primary School and raised beds for RGU's Faculty of Health and Social Care. Its current priorities are to promote green and sustainable garden practices, food security, spreading the advantages of allotment holding into the wider community and, of course, better horticulture; and coordinating visits of volunteers and others to work within the Community Garden.
In 2018, Garthdee Field Allotments Association was awarded a Certificate of Distinction to further recognise the groups' achievements.
