Friends of the Barnhill Rock Garden

Certificate of Distinction
The F.B.R.G is an inclusive group which welcomes new members to the gardening team, talks and summer visits. Various activities are provided in the garden for schools and nurseries. Recycling and composting of garden waste, nesting boxes, red squirrel feeders and a ’bug hotel ’show the group’s desire to aid conservation. Each year the Friends undertake to improve a different part of the garden as well as adding more snowdrops to a woodland area. A fernery, established a couple of years ago, is slowly maturing. The Friends propagate plants in the nursery for use in the garden, surplus plants being sold to supplement funds.
In 2018, Friends of the Barnhill Rock Garden was awarded a Certificate of Distinction to further recognise the groups' achievements.
