Alcohol and Drugs Action Recovery Garden Project
The Recovery Garden Project is for anyone at any stage in their recovery from alcohol or drugs related issues. The members meet regularly to grow fruit and vegetables in a polytunnel at Grove Nurseries in Aberdeen and get to take away the produce they want. Any surplus goes to a recovery cooking project. The members care for a garden at an NHS Clinic in the city centre, tidying and planting flowering shrubs and bulbs etc. They also maintain a raised bed in the city centre, which is a space dedicated to those who have lost their lives to addiction and related illness.
In 2018, Alcohol and Drugs Action Recovery Garden Project was awarded a Certificate of Distinction to further recognise the groups' achievements.
