Friends of the Earth Falkirk

Friends of the Earth.jpg
2018 Certificate Level 5 - Outstanding

The group is rooted in Falkirk. Volunteers at Friends of the Earth Falkirk identified a number of litter hotspots around Falkirk town centre in 2010. They started a project to guerrilla garden two pieces of land which were particularly visible within the town centre on land not owned by Falkirk Council. Friends of the Earth Falkirk now maintains four community gardens close to Falkirk High Street. The gardens are used to campaign on food issues while addressing local litter issues and creating colourful, bio-diverse spaces in the town.
