Fittie Community Development Trust
The Trust is working to improve the local environment for the enjoyment of the residents and visitors alike. The gardening volunteers have been maintaining the many flower tubs in Footdee for several years and set up three new planters last year to create a permanent display of wildflowers of the Aberdeen’s coast. Last Autumn’s crocus planting added a splash of spring colour to the village’s grassy areas. Plans for this year include a local beach clean-up, a new permanent flower border in the village, a community coffee morning with plant sale, and planting vegetable and fruit containers with local children.
