Glenboig Neighbourhood House
Glenboig Neighbourhood House delivers an environmental project within the community, tending to the gardens of older and vulnerable people. It is in the process of developing community allotments on an area of land, 1,487sq metres in size, that was bequeathed to the older people of the community by James Chapman, a famous local landowner. Funding of £15,000 has been secured to kick-start the project, which will be developed in partnership with the Seven Lochs Project, TCV, and local groups and volunteers within the community. The aim is to develop inclusive allotments that will suit the needs of all abilities, schools and nurseries, and local groups and organisations.
