Garthdee Field Allotments has 110 allotments and a community garden which comprises of an orchard, herbaceous borders, a wild flower area, toilet facilities, communal compost bins, a polytunnel and internal paths. The group is pleased to host plots for the MacMillan Cancer Support, Robert Gordon University Student Association, Kaimhall Primary School and raised beds for Robert Gordon Universities Faculty of Health and Social Care. The groups’ current priorities include promoting green and sustainable garden practices, food security, spreading the advantages of allotment holding into the wider community, improving horticultural practice on site, and coordinating volunteer visits to the community garden.
