Friends of Sunnybank Park
Sunnybank Park is a community park serving the areas of Sunnybank, Froghall, Powis and Old Aberdeen. It is run by a local charity called “The Friends of Sunnybank Park”, which was set up in 2010 to run the park and keep it open, saving it from the threat of being closed off. The group took on the lease of the area and the task of turning a derelict space into a local green oasis. Activities nowadays include, but are not limited to, maintenance of the paths, gardening, pruning, care and maintenance of the allotments within the park, and litter picking.
