Amisfield Preservation Trust
The Trust aims to restore and develop the historic Amisfield Walled Garden for the enjoyment and benefit of the public and, in particular, for the health, wellbeing and education of the local community. Over the past 10 years, considerable work has been undertaken to develop the garden from a neglected state into a vibrant community facility. There are over 40 volunteers working at the garden on a regular weekly basis, together with one primary school class and a group of secondary school pupils studying for a qualification in Rural Skills. The volunteer group includes 11 adults with learning difficulties.
