Pride of Place is a group, founded in 2006, to enhance the environment and raise the self-esteem of the town, with floral displays the most obvious activity, but work in public areas with the local community and especially the school. The group aims to advance environmental education through sustainable environmental projects within the community, such as its Pollinators Bed and recent work along the burn running through town. It also works closely with the local authority.
