EnviroKirn Action Group

This year the group is endeavouring, through a sustainable communities grant to create a new seating and tub planted area at the beginning of Kirn at Dunclutha Lodg. Also in this scheme the group is replacing planters and a bench at the retail area by Kirn gardens. It will be planting out all of the planters and replacing four benches on the Esplanade, and intends to do regular beach cleans and litter picks and will involve the local schools in this. The group is erecting an information board entitled Old Kirn which has photographs and legend and intends to run an outdoor arts project whereby local youngsters can use their art skills to brighten up their environment.
