Mini Lesson: A Fair Trade nation
Did you know that Scotland achieved Fair Trade Nation status in February 2013?
We’ve had this status for 10 years but people around the world have been campaigning for Fair Trade for a lot longer. Fair Trade is about responsible production and consumption – respecting people and the planet.
We are grateful to the Scottish Fair Trade Forum for delivering this lesson.
The Scottish Fair Trade Forum works to support Scotland to remain a vibrant Fair Trade Nation, embedding the principles of Fair Trade in all aspects of Scottish society to contribute to a just, equitable and sustainable world.
Join us in this Mini Lesson to find out more about Fair Trade and how story telling can help us to better understand how Fair Trade benefits the people who grow, make and produce the things we buy.
You’ll find out how Fair Trade supports the SDGs, global citizenship, climate action and other social and environmental justice campaigns. A great lesson with many ideas for your Eco-Committee or class to work on topics like Climate Action, Global Citizenship and Health and Wellbeing.
