Free Climate Emergency Training for businesses in South Lanarkshire (September)

Keep Scotland Beautiful and Elevator offer free accredited online training for businesses in South Lanarkshire

This training will help you to make cost-efficient changes and improve your green business credentials, in addition to meeting the changing customer expectations and regulations that a lower-carbon Scotland will bring.

A series of free, accredited Climate Emergency Training, and ‘on-request’ 15-minute information sessions are being offered by environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful and Elevator in September and October 2022 for businesses in South Lanarkshire.

The two-part accredited Climate Emergency Training will help you learn why tackling greenhouse gas emissions is essential for businesses, our environment and daily lives.

The training also offers you the chance to be certified as Carbon Literate, which will help build understanding of how your business creates climate-change-causing greenhouse gas emissions, and ways to tackle these emissions.

Six reasons why Climate Emergency Training could help you and your business

Attending the Climate Emergency Training and becoming Carbon Literate will empower businesses and individuals to:

  1. develop more efficient and cost-effective businesses and households – vital with the cost of doing business and living currently spiralling,
  2. meet new regulations, customer expectations and take advantage of opportunities as Scotland strives to become a more sustainable nation,
  3. know what climate change impacts are coming – and ways to adapt to them,
  4. take advantage of free opportunities to be certified as Carbon Literate - great for enhancing workplace qualifications, personal CV’s and continued professional development,
  5. take practical action on climate change and develop skills and experience that can be applied in the workplace, community, or home.
  6. learn what terms like ‘climate emergency’, ‘global warming’, ‘climate change’, ‘net zero’ and ‘carbon footprint’ mean and why understanding these terms puts you at a competitive advantage.

15-minute information sessions are available on request, and provide a great opportunity to ask further questions about the accredited training and find out why taking climate action as a business is so important.

Keep Scotland Beautiful is delighted to be partnering with Elevator to deliver the online training as part of a project that has received funding from the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund.
