Climate Emergency Training
Our online Climate Emergency Training will help you understand climate change and how you and/or your organisation can reduce emissions.
About this event
Our online Climate Emergency Training is eight hours of learning over four weeks. Each week involves an hour-long online session led by one of our expert trainers, followed by some self-study tasks to be completed before the next session.
The course covers:
- The basics of climate change science and how we know it’s a problem
- How climate change is impacting us all now and how it will in the future
- What's being done to tackle climate change at a variety of levels; locally, nationally and internationally
- Ways that you and your organisation can take action to reduce emissions
- How having a Carbon Literate workforce could benefit your organisation
The training costs £100 plus VAT.
The online sessions are on:
Wednesday 28 April, 2pm - 3pm: An introduction to climate change
Wednesday 5 May, 2pm - 3pm: Climate impacts and adaptation
Wednesday 12 May, 2pm - 3pm: Reducing emissions (mitigation)
Wednesday 19 May, 2pm - 3pm: Climate action and communication
By booking onto this course you are committing to attend all four sessions.
For a small additional fee, you can choose to apply to be certified as Carbon Literate by the Carbon Literacy Project.
