CoPLAR Awareness
There are no fixed dates for our CoPLAR Awareness course and it is organised for organisations on request, or a practical number of attendees have indicated interest.
The course can be delivered in person or online.
Our Code of Practice on Litter and Refuse (Scotland) 2018 awareness training provides an overview of the legislation that underpins the legal requirements for duty bodies and statutory undertakers when considering managing land for litter and road sweeping.
Focusing on Duty 1 and 2 of the Environmental Protection Act (1990) Section 89, this course will cover all the practical guidance outlined in the Code, including considerations for prioritising land, monitoring and prevention.
The course can be tailored to the individual organisation and is suitable for all levels of staff.
