Dear World Leaders

Send a message to world leaders attending COP26 in Glasgow

Deadline extended to Friday 8th October

World leaders will meet at COP26 in Glasgow this November to discuss the Climate Emergency and what they will do to tackle this big problem.  We invite all classes, big and small, from Nurseries to High Schools, to encourage world leaders to solve the Climate Emergency and protect our world and your future.  Create a message that begins ‘Dear World Leaders’ and describes what you as a class hope your planet will be like when you are adults and if the Climate Emergency has been solved.

Your message can use art or words and you can choose any technique, shape or material, but remember, our planet is in trouble, so think sustainably.  You could for example use natural materials that will be composted afterwards.

Tackling the Climate Emergency depends on all of us, so show the world leaders how you are doing your part.  Say what your class is doing to help solve climate change or include a pledge for something that your class will commit to do.  Telling them that you are already doing your part to look after your future, will help them to take strong action in their discussions at COP26.

Please email us a photo of your class creation by Friday 8th of October (ecoschools@keepscotlandbeautiful.org). We will compile all entries into a photobook that will be gifted to the First Minister, and share them on social media.
