Climate Action Week: week of workshops for Upper Primary Classes - 13th to 17th September 09:30-10:15

Delivered live online every morning from 9.30 am during the week of the 13th of September, these interactive 45 minutes-long lessons are aimed at helping your class understand what Climate Change is and its impacts, how we are contributing to this situation and how we can contribute to its solution. The workshop will be supported with resources and activities that classes can carry out after the workshop and throughout the week, and by the end of the week classes will come up with an Action Plan for their class to work towards. During that week KSB will also be celebrating a One Planet Picnic, which classes will be invited to plan for and celebrate if they can.

Contents:

  • Introduction to Climate Change
  • Climate Change and nature
  • Oceans, water and me
  • Food and Climate Change
  • People leading the way. My role, your role.

This workshop will be delivered via Teams. We will only require the teacher to sign in on behalf of the class and communication during the workshop will happen via chat.

COP26 CPD session for Primary and Secondary school educators -  8th or 9th September 16:00-17:00

This hour-long online session will give you the confidence to discuss COP26 with your students, highlighting its role in taking effective climate action.

Contents:

  • Why is it important?
  • How does it seek to combat climate change?

A selection of class resources, which can be used during the lead-up to COP26, will be provided and discussed. This CPD is suitable for both primary and secondary teachers.  Offered on two dates - attend one session only.
