Eco-Schools 30th Birthday Celebrations
Did you know that Eco-Schools is 30 years old this year? It was launched in the UK four nations, Denmark and Germany in 1994 with Scotland awarding our first Green Flag in 1995. 30th Celebration Launch Event
Our 30th anniversary celebrations launched at Stirling High School on 5 September. Watch the assembly recording to hear from Stirling High School's amazing Eco-Committee and find out more about the challenges and celebrations we would love you to take part in this year.

Take part in one of our challenges - exciting prizes to be won!
Create a collage of your eco activities over the years, design your own Eco-Schools tartan and see how many of our bingo activities you can complete over the year. Don't forget it's the 30th birthday for Young Reporters for the Environment too so why not take part in our photo challenge. There are prizes for all the challenges. Deadline for entries is 22 April for the YRE competition and 31 May for the Eco-Schools competitions. Thank you to Muddy Faces Ltd., HP and Helping Hand Environmental for donating prizes.
Join us for a very special One Planet Picnic celebration 9th -13th June 2025
Our Eco-Schools celebration week will take place from Monday 9 to Friday 13 June 2025. To take part in the celebrations this year, we are inviting you to host a One Planet Picnic for your school. We hope you can create a celebration that’s good for you and for the planet and get your whole community involved.

Our annual international Eco-Schools Celebration Assembly recognises the work of thousands of schools and nurseries going above and beyond for our planet, looking after the environment and their communities.
This year, the Eco-Schools Celebration Assembly will take place on Friday 13 June at 9.30am.
