One way to take action on litter is by carrying out litter picks. Many people choose to do this on their own or as part of a community group and help to clear our neighbourhoods. As well as clearing litter, clean places discourage further littering so litter picking can help prevent it and raise awareness of the problem too.

There is lots of advice, guidance and support on offer for anyone wanting to litter pick and there are also many groups and event to join in with. Whether you want to take part once or regularly, every piece of litter counts.
