Collect data
Collecting data about litter is another way to take action. Data is, and will be, important in tackling litter in Scotland. It gives us information on litter’s abundance, geography and composition, meaning we are more informed when trying to tackle it.
With more information collected by volunteers, our understanding is even better. Anyone can get involved, whether you do it once, regularly, in a group or on your own, take a few minutes or you do many over a few hours. There are several coordinators and methodologies of data collection on litter which will be explored in this section as well finding out why it is so important.
