Love Scotland's beaches?
Since 2018, My Beach Your Beach has been helping people care for their local beaches and bathing waters.
This year, natural spaces have been more precious to us than ever. So take a tour, learn more about bathing waters and what we must each do to make sure that they are clean for everyone to enjoy all year round.
This year's beaches
'My Beach, Your Beach' is aimed at some of Scotland's most popular beaches, to ensure that water quality is not compromised by people's activities close to the shore.
Each beach has its own character, history and environment. Find out more about them by clicking on the boxes below:
Enjoy the beach...and care for sand, sea and the local community
Here's some key things that everyone can do to ensure that our beaches and bathing waters are clean for all to enjoy:
When visiting the beach...
Dog poo: bag it and bin it
And if the bin is full, then take it away with you.
Litter: bin it or take it home
There is never an excuse for leaving litter for others to clean up.
Gulls: don't feed them; leave them be.
Human food attracts gulls and their poo pollutes the water. Best to leave them be.
And for businesses and homes...
Mind your pipes:
Never pour fats, oils or greases down the drain
Only flush the 3Ps: pee, poo and paper

Learn, explore, celebrate, campaign!
Whether you're indoors or outdoors, we have something for all ages.
