Springhill Community Garden
In 2023, Springhill Community Garden received a Certificate of Recognition in the NatureScot It's Your Neighbourhood Pollinator Friendly Award.
Springhill Community Garden provides raised and communal beds for the local community to grow their own food, maintains wilderness areas to attract pollinators and support wildlife, and welcomes groups from several schools to learn, gain work experience, and have fun in the garden. They are advised by a local organic farmer, and partner with other community groups and businesses to help them develop, to share and swap resources, and encourage environmental management. Their first batch of compost will soon be ready, making the garden more self-sufficient. Their volunteer base continues to grow, bringing new skills and opportunities to the garden.
