Certificate Level 4 - Thriving

In 2023, Growing Together were 2nd place in the NatureScot It's Your Neighbourhood Pollinator Friendly Award, and received Certificates of Recognition in the Keep Scotland Beautiful Involving Children and Young People Award and the Parks & Green Spaces Award.

Fortune Works is a social enterprise supporting people with learning disabilities to take an active role in their community. They have a garden centre open to the public on site, where their service users learn valuable gardening skills. They also have a community orchard, each tree belonging to a different school or nursery. They have an allotment plot, growing vegetables for use in their diner.

Over the previous year as a member of the IYN initiative, they held regular community litter picks and planted and maintained plants in Drumchapel Park. They also took part in the IYN annual seminar. Currently they are in the process of having bat and bird boxes installed in the park, in conjunction with Glasgow City Council, and will continue their community park maintenance including planting wildflowers.
