Friends of Granton Castle Walled Garden

Certificates Level 4 - Thriving
Certificate of Distinction

The aim of the group is to preserve and develop the historic Granton Castle Walled Garden. Using organic methods, the group maintains areas for local fruit and vegetable production, including an orchard where some trees are over 120 years old. The group grows wild plants and flowers attractive to pollinators and other insects. In addition, it is developing an area for organic and sustainable flower farming. An important aspect is to maintain and work towards increasing biodiversity. The garden is a wonderful place for work and recreation, where the group provides local food and holds workshops and events.
