Fittie Community Development Trust

Certificates Level 5 - Outstanding
Certificate of Distinction

The Trust maintains the Community Hall on New Pier Road as a shared meeting place for their village. The gardeners have created a wildlife friendly garden around it to provide additional outdoor space for activities at the hall.

Individual gardening volunteers also look after the large flower tubs and troughs in Footdee. They have planted trees and spring bulbs, have organised veg growing, and annual beach clean-ups.

This year they want to increase local wildflowers to support more insect life. For World Oceans Day they are planning another rock pooling session and talk on local sea life.
