St John's Primary School Sensory Community Garden

This parent/school partnership in a local authority primary school is attempting to create a Sensory Community garden from a derelict garden space owned by the local authority and attached to the school. They aim to provide an outdoor educational space for the pupils during school hours, and a welcome greenspace to all in their community outside of this.
The creation of this space fits well with their local community action plan and has the support of the local Community Coordination Group.
The P5 - P7 Pupils have all enrolled in the John Muir Award as part of the re-development of the garden, and play an enthusiastic part in the hard graft to achieve their goal.
They have applied for various funding to help them achieve their aims and objectives, and are confident of their eventual success.
