Slopefield Allotment Association

Certificates Level 5 - Outstanding
Certificate of Distinction

Slopefield has operated as an Aberdeen City allotment site since 1980. An Allotment Association was set up in 2010, to manage over 100 plots on site on a day to day basis in partnership with the City Council.

The aims of the Association are to share gardening knowledge and encourage sustainable gardening methods in addition to enhancing local biodiversity and increasing the wellbeing of all involved.

They also aim to build partnerships with the local community, especially Airyhall Primary School, who have weekly educational visits to their plot on site to learn how plants grow.
