Shiell Street Green Growers

Shiell Street Community Garden is a strip of land taken over by the Green Growers. Most volunteers come from Grove Academy High School in Dundee, but the group also works with a local nursery. The aim is to make the garden a haven for wildlife and a centre for learning - using QR codes linked to the Grove Garden webpage. People can scan codes to learn about wildflowers they see. The garden is on a busy walking route so there are plenty of passers-by! This year, the group will lower its carbon footprint by growing food thanks to funding from CCAF (Climate Challenge Asset Fund).
