Paxton Trust Community Garden

This community-based project, located within the grounds of Paxton House, has two key aims. Firstly, to combat the impact of loneliness and isolation for people over 55. Enriching daily life, working to connect people, enhancing wellbeing, and encouraging all to try something new through a variety of gardening activities.

The second is to support and nurture local schoolchildren, with the intention of teaching gardening skills. Teaching them new skills whilst encouraging them to eat more healthily. Engaging them in enjoyable and inclusive activities with their peers, whilst providing students with the knowledge as to why they must lead healthier lifestyles.
