Hamiltonhill Claypits Local Nature Reserve

The Claypits Local Nature Reserve is Glasgow's inner-city nature reserve. Once a place of important industrial and social heritage, it now has a focus on the future with the 6.7 hectare land that has many benefits for people, communities and wildlife.

The purpose has a strong focus on connecting communities to encourage social involvement in ecology, arts, heritage, health and wellbeing, education and environment.

It is run by volunteers who seek to promote awareness, physical and social access to the LNR, and promote public involvement in decision making as well as community pride in the LNR through the suggestions of ideas, events, activities and programmes on the LNR.
