Friends of Morningside Cemetery

Friends of Morningside Cemetery continue to thrive, having achieved Level 4 in their It’s Your Neighbourhood assessment in 2022. Seasonal planting of spring bulbs over several years, and newly planted species of roses, will create a reflective walk which is already attracting more visitors to the Cemetery. Benches are planned along the central lime tree avenue. It is hoped to begin to restore broken and fallen gravestones this year. After the constraints of Covid, they hope to extend their community engagement, with biographies of some of those buried in Morningside.
