Friends of Inchyra Park

The group is working to improve every aspect of the local park. They have planted a 100 tree community orchard, sown over 3,000 m² of wildflower meadow, added seating and a heritage area with a mural, and created 14 raised beds!

This year they have added 47 mature trees, a herb and a fruit raised bed, plus a further 2 larger sensory plant beds! They have also added 2 wildlife watering holes to improve the biodiversity of the park. If that wasn’t enough, the group has also added the district's first community gym. They have also been hosting a series of cycling events (park Safari), with further events, both growing and community events, planned for this year!
