Earlston in Bloom

Earlston in Bloom began in 2019, after a community consultation when residents said they’d like the High Street to be more colourful and attractive.
The group had a good start, then Covid, but since 2021 the volunteers have worked hard on the High Street, public community spaces, working with the local schools and groups.
In 2022 the group’s fundraising helped them buy hanging baskets for the High Street, more planters and “Dolly the Trolley”. She and Betty Bowser are crucial for summer watering when they have an increase in volunteers for their rota, keeping everything looking good was a real challenge during last year’s heatwave.
Earlston in Bloom has taken part in Its Your Neighbourhood for the last two years and, after a glowing report last time, we’re keen to build on this in 2023 with KSB's support.
