Earlston in Bloom

Earlston in Bloom began in early 2019, after 78% of residents said in a major consultation that they'd like to see planters, baskets etc. along the High Street.
The small number of volunteers had a great first year, but Covid meant they faced difficulties and challenges like everyone else.
In 2021 they completed the transformation of Church Brae, took on Kidgate, and recruited more volunteers. The group is now well on the way to completing work at the High School garden.
More challenges lie ahead and they hope to bring even more colour to the High Street this year, as well as take on new community beds with more permanent, climate friendly planting. The Earlston community continues to support the work of the group: they are very pleased to be a local Co-Op Good Cause this year.
