EAGerBunch - Ellon Academy Gardeners

Ellon Academy have a learning and teaching garden where many decorative plants are cared for, and edible crops grown. Pupils from the additional needs department undertake the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society Grow and Learn awards. They are also creating a Memorial Garden space to remember lost pupils and staff, which will be peaceful and attractive. They hold events like soup-shares, BBQs, plant sales and award ceremonies.

In 2022, the group were recognised with a Keep Scotland Beautiful 'Beautiful Scotland & It's Your Neighbourhood' discretionary award - joint winner of the Involving Children and Young People Award.
