Coaltown of Wemyss Floral Group

Coaltown of Wemyss has taken part successfully in Fife Villages floral displays for years. The current organising group was established in 2021, with a focus on supporting participation and ownership of public spaces and on increasing environmentally responsible approaches to their summer floral displays. They also want to plant more sustainably, with more of a mix of perennial and annual planting, and with greater care of soil resources. They have an ambition to sow small wildflower patches and will continue experimenting with various approaches to sowing this year.
