Alva in Bloom

The group aims to:

• through floral enhancement, add to Alva’s attraction for residents and visitors
• encourage residents and other interested parties to take a pride in their environment and contribute towards the floral enhancements in Alva
• manage, create and develop planted areas and enhance existing natural and planted areas in Alva town centre, residential areas and recreational land
• encourage volunteering opportunities for people wishing to keep healthy and active living in Alva and surrounding areas
• engage with local schools, residents associations, businesses and other community groups to encourage people to take an active role in caring for their surroundings
• develop and provide a syllabus of activities (e.g. planting, outings) for the year for the members.
