Wellington Allotment Gardens Association
An allotment garden in Wellington street, Greenock, with 35 plots ranging from full size, half quarter and raised beds. It has evolved in its 110-year history, from an old industrial site to a member run Allotment society. They have been fortunate to get extensive grant funding to install a member’s cabin with loo and electricity, a polytunnel and security fencing.
The local Scouts and F.E. college have plots, and the association received funding to make raised beds for produce they donate to a local charity.
The association is proud to have been assessed as ‘Outstanding’ for the last four years and feels they have a lot to live up to as they start to recover from the Pandemic.
