The Sorted Project
The Sorted Project provides support for men and women in recovery from substance dependency and mental health who seek well-being activities following treatment. It provides a unique venue in a peaceful setting on the Union Canal on board a purpose-built canal boat called Panacea. Participants learn how to crew and take care of Panacea. The group maintains the canal and surroundings with regular litter-picking and maintains trees and shrubs. The members learn about how climate change is affecting the environment and what they can do to help. This year sees the group develop further an exciting initiative to plant a mini fruit orchard and also plant wildflowers for pollinators along the canal.
