Fittie Community Development Trust
The Trust is working to improve the local environment for residents and visitors alike. The gardening group is looking after the Community Hall garden, where it is establishing a colourful wildlife-friendly garden with seaside-tolerant plants. The group wants to use this outdoor space during events and activities at the Hall, and hopes it provides an enjoyable meeting place for the neighbourhood.
Individual volunteers look after the large flower tubs in Footdee. The group also organises beach clean-ups, plants spring bulbs in autumn, and hopes to increase the diversity of native coastal wildflowers along the beach. It also wants to plant two new trees in the village this year.
