Whorterbank Community Garden

The group grows vegetables and has an orchard, fruit bushes, raspberry fence, strawberry bed, wooded area with new flower walk, plus a copse with wildlife cameras concentrating on bird feeder and night-time mammal watch. The group keeps a journal of what's been seen, and the current star of the show is a resident male Bullfinch. The garden is very diverse and inter-generational – there are nursery school visits and the group also hosts Astronomy nights as well as events throughout the year.
