The Maxwell Centre

A vibrant, well used Centre with an award-winning community garden. The Centre prides itself on community led gardening with no barriers to participation. Its garden is very well attended by local school groups and nurseries and, during school holidays, it runs a garden club four days a week, 10am-3pm with up to 25 local children attending each day. The Centre also offers therapeutic gardening to the community and many of the centre’s users and groups partake in the garden. It also has a community cupboard and runs a number of successful cooking programmes utilising fresh produce from the garden.

In 2019, The Maxwell Centre - Every1's Garden was awarded a Certificate of Distinction to further recognise the groups' achievements.
