Rosewell Development Trust

Rosewell Development Trust runs a variety of community engagement groups and projects. It has constructed a woodland classroom in a local woodland, which is used to teach local primary children and the wider community about the benefits of biodiversity along with woodland management.
Recent funding measures implemented by Midlothian Council, meant the planters in Rosewell would have remained empty. The Trust stepped in and took over the planting of these, through its Friends of Rosewell project, which brings together volunteers to plant and maintain all of the flower planters in the village along with planting and maintaining the main flower beds in Rosewell Park. It also planted and maintains a community maze, and runs Rosewell Grows, which grows children as well as the plants.
