Lanark Community Development Trust

Since 2012, the Trust has been working to restore the jewel in Lanark’s crown – Castlebank Park. The gardens have been completely regenerated by a team of dedicated volunteers. A Horticultural Training Centre has been created within the park and the Trust now employs a full-time Educational Gardener. The Trust’s aim is for the Castlebank Horticultural Centre to become an educational and training asset for the local community. It has an active Education Programme, Volunteer Programme and annual programme of workshops and events.
Castlebank Park is now 1 of Scotland’s 71 Green Flag Parks and as well as welcoming visitors all year round, plays hosts to large-scale community events such as FlowerFest and celebrations during Lanimer Week.
