Friends of Balgay

The group’s main aim is to promote and improve Greater Balgay which includes Victoria Park, Lochee Park, Balgay Hill and Balgay Cemetery. The committee has regular meetings with the council's Environment Dept so problems and future improvements can be addressed. A recent project has involved, with local and national funding, the upgrade of the bandstand area with new flower plantings, benches and soon to be installed handrails to allow easier access to this lovely peaceful part of the park for visitors and the local community. Future projects include a feasibility study to reinstate an historic water source close to the bandstand.
